This is where live music meets Trivia in an explosion of fun! All you need to ask yourself is...CAN YOU BEAT THE BAND?

This format has only recently taken off in the UK and now Australia is ready to experience this great new interactive Triva concept! Perfect for your next function!

BEAT THE BAND

Music trivia nights are by no means a new concept, but what our Rockaoke team have created is a new twist on the old trivia format. This package is perfect if you’re looking for new corporate entertainment ideas to wow your audience! Basically, the band plays the questions… live.  Drums, guitar, bass and singing! This is a live gig combined with a trivia night mixed with a great atmosphere and interactive party games.  Think ‘Spicks and Specks’ and ‘Rockwiz’ but with a live band and mass participation.  This corporate entertainment package is a perfect addition to any function or charity event.  It is also a great way of fusing the corporate entertainment with the event, especially for fundraisers.  It is also a great way to bring teams together in a social and interactive environment.  It is a great after work social event that can really bring your work team together on a whole new level.  The best way to take part in this show is to have teams of 4-6, but you can definitely take part as an individual for a greater challenge.  The show can be customised to suit your event but typically they run between one and two hours.  It can be a standalone show or bolted into a package with one of our top class corporate party bands or with Rockaoke Australia, the best live band karaoke experience in Australia.

The band members (who are well experienced in live band karaoke), have the ability to take live band trivia to a whole new level by incorporating new interactive party games with the audience. These might include:

  1. Singing the next line of a song
  2. Strumming some rhythm on the guitar or bass
  3. Playing some drums or percussion in time with the band
  4. Singing some songs with the band (Rockaoke style)
  5. Sing offs and dance offs

By encouraging the audience members to participate with the band they are able to earn bonus points.  This is also a great way for teams to come out of their shells and experience being a part of the corporate entertainment.

HOW IT WORKS

The night will start with the band playing a few warm-up songs to get everyone in the mood.  During this time the MC will be getting everyone clued up and teams will decide on their name (or “band name”).  Prizes go to the best name!  The quiz sheets will be dispersed and the Trivia show will begin.  Below are some hints at what the different rounds involve to wet your appetite for destruction!
